Q37 Series Hook Type Shot Blasting Machine

Hook-type shot blasting machines come in two main styles: single-hook and double-hook. They are suitable for cleaning or strengthening the surfaces of small and medium-sized castings, forgings, welded parts, and heat-treated parts across various industries, and are particularly well-suited for cleaning and strengthening sensitive parts. They utilize a popular pitless design for compactness, easy installation, and smooth operation.
The fully enclosed chamber prevents shot splash and is protected by wear-resistant alloy cast iron panels.
An electric hoist is used for loading, unloading, lifting, and moving workpieces, while a self-rotating mechanism allows for forward and reverse rotation of workpieces within the chamber.

▶ Product Structure

Hook System
The hook system is the core component of a hook-type shot blasting machine, capable of carrying and transporting heavy workpieces. The hook's flexible design allows for adjustable suspension to suit the size and weight of the workpiece. The hook's transport path is typically achieved via a chain or motorized pulley system, ensuring smooth and even movement of the workpiece through the blasting area.
Shot Blaster
The shot blaster is a key component responsible for accelerating steel shot and other particulate matter to high speeds and projecting them onto the workpiece surface. The high-speed rotation of the impeller accelerates the steel shot to a precise velocity and projects it onto the workpiece surface at a precise angle. The strategic placement of multiple shot blasters ensures uniform distribution of the shot across the workpiece surface, achieving optimal cleaning results.
Shot Blasting Chamber
The shot blaster is the area where the workpiece and the shot blasting medium come into contact. It typically utilizes a sealed design to effectively minimize shot dispersion and ensure a concentrated blasting effect. The environment within the shot blaster often requires high-strength, wear-resistant materials to withstand long-term, intensive operation.

Shot Recovery System
The shot recovery system uses powerful suction and screening devices to collect used shot from the shot blasting chamber and return it to the storage bin. After cleaning and filtering, the recovered shot can be reused. This recycling process not only saves materials but also reduces operating costs, offering significant environmental benefits.
Electrical Control System
The hook-type shot blasting machine is equipped with an advanced electrical control system. The operator can easily adjust key parameters such as the shot blasting wheel speed, hook speed, and shot flow rate through a control panel. This system typically includes automatic monitoring, fault alarms, and data logging to ensure efficient and stable operation.
Dust Removal System
The dust removal system of the hook-type shot blasting machine is used to remove dust generated during the shot blasting process and prevent air pollution. Using efficient filtration devices, the dust removal system collects and filters most of the dust, ensuring a clean interior and a safe working environment.

▶ Advantages

Efficient Cleaning
Hook-type shot blasting machines use high-speed rotating shot wheels to quickly remove oxides, rust, and other impurities from workpiece surfaces, achieving uniform and thorough cleaning. The workpiece automatically rotates via a hook system, ensuring that every surface receives the shot impact evenly, resulting in cleaning results superior to traditional manual grinding or hand cleaning methods.
Adaptability
Hook-type shot blasting machines are suitable for workpieces of various sizes and weights, offering unique advantages for large or heavy workpieces such as castings, forgings, and steel structures. The hook system can be adjusted to the specific requirements of the workpiece, allowing the machine to meet the cleaning needs of various workpiece types and shapes.
Material and Cost Savings
The machine's equipped shot recovery system effectively recycles and reuses used shot, reducing shot consumption. Furthermore, the hook-type shot blasting machine's ease of operation and high cleaning efficiency significantly reduce labor and production costs.
Environmentally Friendly
The hook-type shot blasting machine's dust removal system promptly filters and removes dust generated during the shot blasting process, ensuring a clean working environment. At the same time, the shot recovery system reduces shot waste, meeting the environmental protection requirements of modern production.
Automated Operation
The hook-type shot blasting machine features a high degree of automation. The operator only needs to set parameters and perform daily checks. The machine automatically completes the workpiece cleaning process according to pre-set programs, reducing the need for manual intervention and improving production efficiency and safety.
Improving Workpiece Quality
Shot blasting creates a uniform surface roughness on the workpiece, which helps improve coating adhesion. It also removes microcracks and defects on the workpiece surface, enhancing fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance, and extending its service life.
Extending Equipment Lifespan
The main components of the hook-type shot blasting machine, such as the hook, shot wheel, and recovery system, are made of wear-resistant materials, ensuring a long service life. With proper maintenance, the equipment can operate efficiently for a long time, reducing the frequency of equipment replacement and repair.

▶ FAQ

What types of workpieces can a hook-type shot blasting machine process?
Hook-type shot blasting machines are suitable for a variety of metal workpieces, especially large or heavy workpieces such as cast iron, steel, forgings, and aluminum alloys. Because the hook can carry heavier workpieces, the machine is particularly suitable for batch processing and surface cleaning of large workpieces.

How can a hook-type shot blasting machine improve productivity?
The key to improving productivity lies in properly setting the machine's shot blasting wheel speed, shot flow rate, and hook rotation speed. Optimizing these parameters ensures that workpieces are shot blasted quickly and evenly. Regularly inspecting the shot recovery and dust removal systems to ensure their efficient operation is also an important measure to improve efficiency.

What is the maintenance cycle for a hook-type shot blasting machine?
The maintenance cycle for a hook-type shot blasting machine depends primarily on frequency of use and the operating environment. It is generally recommended to inspect the machine's main components, such as the hook, shot blasting wheel, recovery system, and dust removal system, monthly. A comprehensive inspection should be performed every six months, and lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of worn parts should be performed based on machine usage to ensure long-term, stable operation.
